Job Description:
Senior Design Engineer – ROV Tooling
Aberdeen | Mon–Fri, 37.5 hrs | £55,000–£60,000 DOE + OT
An award-winning global Remote Intervention specialist is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its fast-paced engineering team. This is a key role focused on the design and development of standard and bespoke ROV-deployed tooling, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture.
Key duties:
*3D concept modelling and detailed manufacturing drawings (SolidWorks)
*Mechanical design calculations & FEA
*Design to international standards (BS8888)
*Technical documentation, manuals & test procedures
*Cross-functional support across engineering, projects & operations
*Supplier liaison, quotations & occasional site visits
What you’ll need:
*Proven ROV / ROV tooling design experience (essential)
*Strong mechanical design background with hands-on understanding
*Skilled in 2D/3D CAD, GD&T, hydraulics & FEA
*Self-motivated, organised and confident communicator
