Job Description:
Criminology Lead Teacher
*Job Type: Part-time (potential full-time)
*Location: Collingwood College
*Salary: Competitive
Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Criminology Lead Teacher to join our Humanities team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to become full-time for candidates who can also teach an additional Humanities subject such as Sociology, History, Geography, or RE.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the delivery and development of Criminology, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
*Engage and inspire learners with a curriculum that fosters a passion for criminological thinking.
*Teach Criminology at KS4 and/or KS5, depending on experience.
*Lead curriculum planning and assessment within Criminology.
*Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.
*Contribute to the wider Humanities department.
*For full-time consideration: teach an additional Humanities subject.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience teaching Criminology.
*Strong understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.
*Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills.
*Collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and leadership.
*Ability to teach an additional Humanities subject (desirable for full-time applicants).
