Job Description:
Job Title: Life Skills Cookery Teacher
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Details: Temporary, Part-Time
Salary: £19.57 per hour
Work Pattern;- Thursday and Friday during term time. Classed are 9.30am - 3.30pm working hours can either be 8.30am - 4.30pm or 9am - 5pm.

Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting cookery lessons that are both educational and enjoyable.
*Assess students and provide tailored information, advice, and guidance to support their learning journey.
*Promote positive attitudes towards learning and attendance.
*Develop Individual Learning Plans to meet diverse student needs.
*Create a variety of high-quality learning resources, including the use of ILT and Moodle.
*Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
*Promote health, safety, and well-being in the kitchen environment.


Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
*Proven experience in teaching or training, particularly in cookery or related fields.
*Strong understanding of diverse teaching strategies to foster active learning.
*Excellent communication skills and a passion for student engagement.
*Ability to assess student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
*Commitment to promoting health and safety standards in a kitchen setting.


Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
*Qualifications in teaching (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or relevant culinary certifications.
*Experience using digital tools and platforms for teaching and assessment.
*Previous experience working with adult learners or in community education settings.
