Payroll Assistant
*Location: Norwich
*Job Type: Full-time, 3-month fixed term contract
Reed Norwich is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a well-established organisation in Norwich. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with data and processes. You will be instrumental in providing high-quality payroll support to colleagues and stakeholders.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Process payroll transactions including starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
*Maintain accurate employee pay records.
*Support the calculation and processing of salaries, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
*Assist with sickness, maternity, and other statutory payments.
*Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers within agreed service standards.
*Support pension administration tasks including handling starters, leavers, and annual returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
*Analytical approach with problem-solving skills.
*Desirable: A Payroll Technician qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
*Previous experience in payroll or finance administration is advantageous but not essential.
