HR Manager - Secondary School - Brent - ASAP Start - Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Brent seeking an HR Manager to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional with school-based experience to lead on people strategy, ensure compliance, and support staff development in a dynamic school environment.
HR Manager - Role OverviewAs HR Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of human resources within the school. Your responsibilities will include:
*Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention
*Advising senior leadership on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
*Leading on staff performance management, absence management, and employee relations
*Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, safer recruitment, and HR best practices in education
*Maintaining accurate HR records and overseeing payroll processes
*Supporting staff wellbeing initiatives and promoting a positive working culture
*Handling disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with school policies
*Contributing to strategic planning and organisational development
Requirements*Proven experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role within a school or educational setting (essential)
*CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred)
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
*In-depth understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment in schools
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
*Strong organisational and leadership skills
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
