We are excited to be partnering with a friendly Children’s Centre within a primary school in Islington, looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Educator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and deliver high-quality early education within a nurturing and inclusive setting.
The centre is committed to providing a safe, stimulating environment where children’s wellbeing and development come first. Staff are encouraged to bring creativity and energy into their practice, supporting children through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Role Overview
Position: Early Years Educator
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Islington, North London
Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 08:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support children’s learning and development during their early years, including:
*Planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
*Supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through play
*Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
*Observing and assessing progress to inform next steps
*Promoting positive behaviour and supporting overall wellbeing
*Working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice
*Building strong relationships with parents and carers
*Following safeguarding procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
*Have a solid understanding of the EYFS framework
*Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate (essential)
*Be nurturing, proactive, and passionate about early years education
*Work well within a team and contribute positively to the setting
*Be confident supporting children through play-based learning
