Job Description:
We have a new opportunity for a Paraplanner to join our clients based in Lingfield, Surrey. The role will involve liaising with advisers, providers and office staff to promote the company’s services to the highest standards of compliance with current FCA regulations. The role may also include assisting the investment management team in research and execution of suitable investments for clients.
About the Role:
This role involves providing assistance and technical research services to financial advisers to ensure that the preparation of client advice is of the highest quality and delivered efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time position based at the Lingfield office, with occasional travel to client sites or professional development events.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team alongside financial advisers to provide clients with a professional ongoing financial planning experience
- Accurately prepare suitability reports and client reports to deadlines
- Undertake comparative research in preparation of client recommendations
- Complete technical research
- Understand a client’s overall financial position from the adviser’s fact finds
- Discuss client objectives with the relevant adviser, identifying and obtaining necessary information to prepare the necessary suitability checks
- Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurately responded to
- Conduct annual reviews in line with procedure
- Comply at all times with Compliance, Training & Competence, Complaints, Anti-bribery, and Data Security policies and procedures
- Ensure that clients are treated fairly at all times, as per the Consumer Duty Regulations
- Implement agreed investment strategies and new business
- Contact providers to obtain information and updates
- Prepare documents for adviser meetings
Candidate Requirements:
- Accurate with good attention to detail
- Ability to assess suitability in line with client’s goals
- Analytical skills
- Organisational skills
