Outreach Tutor – Kent | SEN / SEND | 1:1 TuitionAutism (ASC) | SEMH | ADHD | EBSA | Ages 5–25
Location: Kent (Medway, Maidstone, Dartford, Gravesend & surrounding areas)
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time hours (Must be available minimum 2 hours per day Monday-Friday)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate £20 to £35 PAYE
Outreach Tutor – SEN / SENDNew Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Outreach Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people aged 5–25 across Kent.
You will support learners who are out of education or at risk of exclusion, including those with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and EBSA, helping them re-engage with learning and build confidence.
Sessions take place in homes, libraries, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver 1:1 outreach tuition tailored to individual needs
*Support learners with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and additional needs
*Plan and adapt sessions in line with EHCPs
*Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
*Build strong relationships to support engagement
*Track progress and complete session reports
*Work with parents, schools, and local authorities
Requirements*Experience supporting SEN / SEND learners (essential)
*Experience with outreach, alternative provision, or EBSA preferred
*Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
*Background in education (Teacher, Tutor, TA, HLTA, Mentor) desirable
*Calm, patient, and resilient approach
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently in community settings
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
*Right to work in the UK
