Job Description:
Looking for candidates who have operated in this capacity for businesses around the $5 Billion-$10 Billion turnover
This role requires a high-caliber finance professional to provide immediate stability and strategic leadership during a transitional period. As the Interim Group Head of Finance , you will be responsible for the integrity of the Group’s financial reporting, the robustness of the control environment, and the leadership of the central finance function for a publicly traded organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. External Reporting & Compliance
*Lead the preparation and delivery of interim and full-year results in accordance with IFRS and Listing Rules.
*Manage the relationship with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely resolution of technical accounting queries.
*Oversee the production of the Annual Report, ensuring high-quality narrative reporting and ESG disclosures.
2. Financial Control & Governance
*Maintain a rigorous internal control framework (SOX or equivalent standard) across the Group to mitigate risk.
*Monitor and manage Group cash flow, liquidity, and treasury operations, ensuring covenant compliance.
*Provide oversight for Group tax strategy and statutory compliance across all jurisdictions.
3. Strategic Business Partnering
*Support the CFO in preparing materials for Board and Audit Committee meetings.
*Collaborate with Investor Relations to provide accurate financial data for analyst presentations and market updates.
*Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, providing insightful variance analysis.
4. Team Leadership & Transformation
*Provide steady leadership to the finance team, ensuring high engagement and performance during the interim period.
*Identify and implement immediate "quick-win" process improvements within the month-end close cycle.
Experience & Qualifications:
*Qualified Accountant:
*PLC Background: Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a listed environment is essential.
*Technical Excellence: Deep mastery of IFRS and complex consolidation accounting.
