Job Description:
Hays Education is currently working with a warm and welcoming primary school that has a strong focus on inclusion, nurture and positive relationships. The school is committed to supporting every child as an individual and provides a calm, structured environment where pupils feel safe, valued and supported to succeed.We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with SEN and challenging behaviour. The child is working at an EYFS level and has a named EHCP, so this role would suit someone patient, consistent and confident, supporting children with additional needs.
The role will involve:
*Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day
*Supporting learning at an EYFS developmental level
*Implementing strategies from the child’s EHCP
*Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour positively
*Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
We are looking for someone who:
*Has previous experience supporting SEN pupils, ideally with EHCPs
*Is confident supporting challenging behaviour
*Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
*Is calm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about supporting children.
