History Teacher – KS3/KS4
Long-term / Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Vida Education – Lancashire & the North West**
Are you a passionate History Teacher who can bring the past to life and inspire pupils to think critically about the world around them? Vida Education is working closely with a number of excellent secondary schools across Lancashire and the North West who are seeking dedicated History specialists for long-term and upcoming September roles.
What the role involves*Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering key historical periods and themes
*Bringing history to life through storytelling, debate, enquiry and source analysis
*Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
*Assessing progress, identifying gaps and adapting teaching to support all learners
*Encouraging pupils to think critically, question evidence and form balanced arguments
*Contributing to the wider humanities department and school community
What skills and qualities we’re looking for
*Strong subject knowledge across British, European and World History
*Ability to make complex historical events accessible and engaging
*Confident classroom management and behaviour-support strategies
*Creativity in lesson planning, including use of sources, artefacts and discussion
*Excellent communication and the ability to inspire curiosity
*Strong organisational skills and a reflective teaching approach
*QTS or relevant teaching qualification (ECTs welcome)
