OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our accountancy practice. This role requires a commercially minded professional who can balance operational leadership, client service excellence, and strategic support to the partners.
Job Duties:
*Oversee daily practice operations, workflows, and internal procedures, ensuring efficiency and high service standards
*Support partners with strategic planning, business growth initiatives, financial targets, KPI monitoring, and performance reporting
*Manage WIP, billing cycles, debtor management, and ensure full compliance with GDPR, AML, and professional standards
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, oversee onboarding, and manage key client queries and escalations
*Liaise with clients, HMRC, banks, and external providers as required
*Prepare, review, and oversee accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, payroll, and audit assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
*Lead, manage, and develop a team, promoting high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
*Drive business development, marketing initiatives, and operational improvements to support practice growth
Essential Requirements
*Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
*ACA or ACCA qualified
*Strong experience managing client portfolios and operational processes
*Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively
*Experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
*Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Hours:
*Monday to Friday
*9am to 5:30pm
