L3 Digital LecturerI am representing a college in Leeds that are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Digital Lecturer to deliver BTEC Level 3 programmes in Computing and Data Science to Further Education learners (aged 16-18 learners).
You will play a key role in inspiring students and developing their skills in programming, IT systems, and data analysis, preparing them for higher education or careers in the digital sector.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 3 BTEC Computing and Data Science
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons in:*Programming (e.g. Python, C#, or similar)
*IT systems and networking
*Data analysis and data science fundamentals

*Assess student work in line with BTEC assessment criteria
*Provide timely and constructive feedback to support learner progress
*Track and monitor student performance, attendance, and engagement
*Support students with academic and pastoral needs
*Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
*Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and college requirements
*Participate in team meetings, standardisation, and quality assurance processes
Essential Requirements*Degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Data Science, IT, or a related field
*Strong knowledge of:*Programming (e.g. Python, Java, or C#)
*IT systems and/or networking
*Data handling and analysis

*Experience teaching or training in a relevant subject area
(or strong industry experience with a willingness to teach)
*Understanding of BTEC Level 3 qualifications or similar frameworks
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable*Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd, or DET)
*Experience delivering BTEC Computing or Data Science
*Industry experience in software development, IT, or data-related roles
*Knowledge of tools such as:*SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar
*Version control (e.g. Git)

*Experience working with 16-19 learners in an FE setting
