The Opportunity
We’re working with a growing and forward-thinking insurance business looking to appoint a Commercial Account Executive to join their team in Horsham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys building relationships and developing new business. You’ll play a key role in driving growth while delivering high-quality advice and service to clients.
The Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and growing your own portfolio of clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring clients receive the best possible advice and support throughout the policy lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and insurers to deliver strong outcomes, while ensuring all activity is carried out in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients
*Build strong relationships and provide ongoing support and advice
*Drive organic growth within your existing book of business
*Generate and convert new business opportunities to meet targets
*Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries
*Conduct thorough fact-finds to understand client needs and recommend suitable solutions
*Liaise with insurers to obtain and negotiate competitive terms
*Ensure all documentation and data is accurate and compliant
*Maintain a strong pipeline and effectively manage your diary
*Deliver excellent service in line with company SLAs and standards
*Operate in accordance with FCA regulations and company procedures
About You
*Proven experience in a commercial insurance role (ideally client-facing)
*Strong business development and relationship management skills
*Ability to manage a portfolio while identifying growth opportunities
*Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
*Organised, with the ability to manage workload and pipeline effectively
*A proactive and client-focused approach
