We are seeking an experienced or aspiring KS2 Teacher with English/Literacy Lead responsibility for a school in Shard End.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner who is ready to take on or further develop subject leadership in English, driving improvements in reading, writing, and whole-school literacy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities*Teach a KS2 class and ensure high standards of progress and attainment
*Lead English/Literacy across KS2 or whole school
*Develop and implement effective English curriculum plans
*Monitor pupil progress and drive targeted interventions
*Support and coach staff to improve English teaching and outcomes
*Promote reading for pleasure and writing across the curriculum
*Work closely with SLT on whole-school improvement priorities
Candidate Requirements*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Proven KS2 teaching experience
*Strong understanding of the KS2 English curriculum
*Experience in or readiness for subject leadership (English/Literacy)
*Strong classroom management and pupil progress focus
*Passion for raising literacy standards
