Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving & Supporter Care Assistant to join a well-established and respected national charity based in London. This role sits within a small, collaborative fundraising team and plays a key part in delivering excellent supporter care while supporting a wide range of individual giving and legacy fundraising activity.
Key Responsibilities*Act as the first line of contact for supporters, responding to queries via phone, email, and post in a timely and professional manner
*Process supporter donations received via post, telephone, and online platforms, including card payments, direct debits, standing orders, and third-party giving
*Manage daily donation receipting and liaise with finance colleagues as required
*Administer Gift Aid checking, scanning, and record storage processes
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on the CRM, including changes of address, communication preferences, and data updates
*Ensure high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and data protection compliance
*Accurately record legacy and in memoriam income and maintain related correspondence and records
*Support the Individual Giving Manager with campaign delivery, including data checks, proofing materials, and coordinating with external agencies where required
*Maintain filing systems and records for supporter correspondence and income documentation
*Provide general administrative support across the Individual Giving and Legacies function
Ideal Candidate Profile*Experience working in an office or administrative environment
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a wide range of people
*Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling data and financial information
*Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
*Comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases or CRM systems
*Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive information with tact and confidentiality
*Positive, proactive, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in fundraising or the charity sector
*A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and building relationships
*Motivation to develop a long-term career within fundraising or the not-for-profit sector
Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week on-site)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £33,000 per annum
