Our client, Leicester City Council, is seeking an agency Social Worker for its Adoption team.


This role will last 3 months initially, paid at £38 per hour.




The role will involve the following:
*The team recruit, train, and assess prospective adopters.
*We support the adopters through family finding to matching panel and remain involved until the Adoption Order is granted.
*The adoption team is also responsible for family finding for every child in Leicester City who has a Placement Order.
*Leicester City is part of a regional adoption agency Family Adoption Links. As a region we have created a larger group of children and adopters, which means more availability of adoptive families for the children of Leicester City.
*The team works in the City Centre one day per week and at a children’s centre for team meetings.

Requirements of the role:
*Qualified Social Worker
*Fully Social Work England registered
*3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
*Must have demonstrable skills and experience in adoption assessments
