Teaching Assistant - SEND Resource Base (Tameside Primary School)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, until July
Pay: £95 per day (PAYE)
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive Primary School in Tameside to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role within their SEND resource base. This position involves supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with complex learning needs.
You will play a key role in providing 1:1 support, helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils can engage with learning and make meaningful progress. This role is available immediately and will run until the end of the academic year.
The Role*Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with complex SEND needs
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised learning strategies
*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate*Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with complex needs
*Confident delivering 1:1 support and working as part of a wider team
*Patient, resilient, and compassionate in approach
*Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or has equivalent school-based experience
