Job Description:
Forklift Driver
*Hourly Rate: £15.75p/h
*Location: Hungerford
*Job Type: Temp to Perm
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team on a temp to perm basis. This role is based in Hungerford and offers a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
*Ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
*Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
*Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
*Check that loads are secure and perform minor maintenance tasks on forklifts.
*Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
*Check equipment for damage and report any faults or incidents.
*Adhere to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Forklift Driver.
*Valid forklift driving certification.
*Good understanding of modern warehousing practices and methods.
*Excellent coordination and organisational skills.
*Ability to lift heavy objects.
*High degree of attention to detail and diligence.
