Interim Accountant (3-6 Month Contract)
£35,000 - £42,000 (pro rata) | 3 Days Office-Based

We’re currently partnering with a growing organisation undergoing a finance transformation to recruit an Interim Accountant on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential to extend to 6 months. There is also a genuine opportunity for this role to transition into a permanent Accountant position as the finance team structure evolves.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck into core finance processes while supporting a team through change.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support with statutory accounts preparation
*Assist in responding to audit queries
*Review and approve payments
*Prepare and post month-end journals
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations
*Assist with month-end reporting
*Perform bank reconciliations and update cash flow actuals
*Provide fixed asset support
*Support a finance system upgrade project, including testing
About You:
*Experience in a similar Accountant / Finance role
*Strong understanding of month-end processes
*Confident working with reconciliations and journals
*Comfortable supporting audits and statutory reporting
*Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
*Experience with system implementations or upgrades is a bonus
