Job Description:
As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will provide a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being of residents within our client’s residential care homes group by ensuring the delivery of nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
You will work 44 hours over a 4 day week, 7.30am – 7.30pm.
This role contributes to the positive dining experience of residents while upholding the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service. This position involves hands-on meal preparation, kitchen management and active collaboration with residents and fellow staff members.
Duties Include:
*Meal preparation
*Kitchen management
*Catering Assistance
*Resident Service
*Compliance English and Maths functional skills
*Familiarity with meal service for special dietary needs
*Knowledge of food safety and standards
*Familiarity with kitchen and dining service equipment operation and maintenance
*Ability to serve diverse and appealing meals
*Able to work collaboratively with other staff members and adapt to changing priorities
*Good communication skills to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
*Compassionate and empathetic towards the individual needs of residents
*Detail orientated with a commitment to maintaining high standards of person centred service, cleanliness and hygiene
Previous relevant catering experience required.
