Salary up to £32,000 (Dependent on Experience)


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join a professional and client-focused practice. Working closely with Directors and Senior Managers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services while building strong relationships with clients.


The Role
You will be responsible for managing your own workload, preparing accounts, and supporting clients with a range of accounting and tax requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
*Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Produce financial statements and supporting documentation
*Prepare personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns
*Complete VAT returns using appropriate software
*Carry out company secretarial duties
*Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
*Monitor deadlines for accounts, tax returns, and VAT submissions
*Support debt collection processes and maintain fee recovery timelines
*Identify opportunities to improve client processes and promote additional services
*Provide support and guidance to junior team members where required


About You
*Strong understanding of accountancy principles and practices
*AAT Level 4 qualified
*Experience preparing accounts and tax returns across a variety of entities
*Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
*Knowledge of Iris Accountancy Suite is advantageous
*Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
