We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our grounds maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and has a keen interest in maintaining the aesthetics and safety of outdoor spaces. The primary duties will involve grass cutting and litter picking, ensuring our grounds are well-kept and presentable.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Perform routine grass cutting using various types of mowers and trimming equipment.
*Conduct litter picking to maintain cleanliness across all maintained areas.
*Operate a range of hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
*Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment used.
*Report any issues or hazards identified on-site to the management promptly.
*Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
*Ability to operate maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers and hand tools.
*Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
*Good time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled hours.
*A team player who can also work independently.
*Attention to detail and pride in creating visually appealing outdoor spaces.
