Job Description:
The Compliance Associate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme by identifying regulatory risks, developing frameworks, monitoring regulatory changes, and providing advisory guidance and reporting across the organisation. It also assists with financial crime oversight, issue resolution and surveillance activities to help strengthen the overall function.

Description
*Support the Compliance Manager in enhancing and delivering the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme aligned with PRA and FCA requirements.
*Identify, assess, and monitor regulatory and financial crime risks, including assisting with CDD, sanctions screening, control testing, and risk assessments.
*Develop and implement compliance frameworks, such as policies, procedures, horizon scanning, and assessing the impact of new regulatory publications.
*Provide advisory and reporting support, including regulatory submissions, attestations, senior management reporting, and helping resolve internal and external compliance issues.
*Support broader compliance operations, including trade surveillance, voice/e-communications monitoring, covering for the Compliance Manager, and completing ad-hoc tasks assigned by senior compliance leadership.
Profile
The successful Compliance Associate should have:
*Relevant academic background in law, finance, risk, or a related discipline, with professional qualifications (e.g., ICA, CAMS) considered beneficial.
*1-3 years of compliance experience in a sell-side environment, ideally within wholesale banking or trade finance, with strong knowledge of regulatory and financial crime requirements.
*Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, regulatory interpretation ability, and strong attention to detail in identifying and reporting compliance issues.
*Possesses effective communication and reporting skills, able to produce clear documentation and engage with stakeholders confidently.
*Shows high integrity, professional judgement, and proactive problem-solving abilities when addressing compliance matters.
