Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (KS1 & KS2)
Location: Leeds
Contract Type: Full-time - Long-term

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Help track progress and contribute to review meetings where appropriate
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with special educational needs (in school or similar setting)
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning strategies (desirable)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) desirable but not essential
