The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a talented team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage ground investigation projects from inception to completion
*Undertake and supervise site work, including logging soils and rock
*Develop ground models and provide geotechnical interpretations
*Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports
*Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
*Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
*Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
*Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
*Proven experience within a UK consultancy environment
*Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques
*Excellent report writing and communication skills
*Experience managing projects and supervising site works
*Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol or similar)
*Full UK driving licence
Desirable
*Experience with contaminated land assessments
*Knowledge of geotechnical design principles
*Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks
