Job Description:
An established firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Bookkeeper to support a varied client portfolio.
This is a part time position suited to someone comfortable managing day-to-day transactional finance and VAT compliance across multiple clients.
The role
*Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
*Process invoices, receipts and payments
*Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
*Complete bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
*Liaise directly with clients to gather information and respond to queries
*Use cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
What they are looking for
*Bookkeeping experience within practice or multi-client environment
*Strong working knowledge of VAT returns
*Confident using Xero and other accounting software
*Good attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently
*Comfortable dealing with clients directly
Salary to £30,000
