Applications Engineer – Tendering & Client Engagement
We’re recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on delivering high-quality project solutions and winning new business through effective tendering.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the commercial side of engineering and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing project opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender submission and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
*Preparing and submitting high-quality technical proposals
*Managing and tracking project opportunities through internal systems
*Building long-term relationships with contractors and clients
*Identifying new project opportunities and contributing to pipeline growth
*Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle, from tender to completion
*Monitoring forecasts and prioritising high-value opportunities
What We’re Looking For*Experience in an Applications Engineer or similar technical role
*Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts
*Commercial awareness with a proactive, results-driven mindset
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Comfortable working independently and within a team
