Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf
Pay Rate: £168.80 - £261.00 per day
Location: Northfield
Hours: Full-time
Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teacher of the Deaf in the Northfield area.

Job requirements:
• Qualified Teacher (Qualified Teacher of the Deaf)
• Minimum Level 2 British Sign Language (BSL) proficiency
• High expectations for pupils and strong communication skills
• Creative, self-motivated, and committed to lifelong learning
• Experience leading classroom teams effectively
Role responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality teaching for D/deaf pupils aged 2–11
• Support pupils to reach their full potential within a bilingual setting
• Plan and deliver diverse and engaging learning experiences
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to meet pupils’ needs
• Maintain excellent standards of communication and classroom leadership
About Smart Education:
Smart Education is a specialist Education and Early Years agency, recruiting for both permanent and temporary roles including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals, Nursery Nurses, and Tutors. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity with children.
