Job Description:
This is a strategic Knowledge Manager role focused on regulatory law, combining core KM expertise with AI, legal tech and product thinking. It offers the opportunity to play a central role in shaping how modern knowledge solutions support lawyers and clients in a complex, evolving practice area.
Client Details
Our client is a well-established, high-quality law firm known for its strength in complex regulatory work and its forward-thinking approach to legal services delivery. The firm places real emphasis on collaboration, innovation and practical excellence, and invests meaningfully in knowledge, technology and its people.
Description
*Partner with the regulatory legal team and central Knowledge & Innovation function to identify needs and deliver new knowledge products and services
*Curate, maintain and improve high-quality know-how, including precedents, playbooks, workflows and automated content
*Enhance and optimise AI and knowledge tools by:
*Designing and refining prompts
*Improving search and usability through metadata and taxonomy
*Supporting document automation initiatives
*Contribute to AI pilots and adoption projects, ensuring tools complement legal expertise rather than replace it
*Apply product thinking to KM solutions, including roadmaps, user testing, feedback loops and usage analytics
*Promote collaboration, reuse and innovation within the regulatory team
*Work closely with PSLs and Knowledge Managers across the firm to support cross-practice initiatives and shared KM standards
Profile
Essential
*Experience in a law firm environment, ideally with exposure to regulation or regulatory-focused knowledge work
*Strong grounding in knowledge management principles (curation, taxonomy, governance)
*Hands-on interest in AI-enabled legal tools and their interaction with curated content
*Experience with templates, precedents, workflows and digital KM platforms
*Product-focused mindset with experience of iterative development and evaluation
*Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
Personal attributes
*Curious, analytical and self-directed
*Comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating complex issues clearly
*Collaborative, positive and delivery-focused
*Confident communicating with lawyers at all levels
*Committed to inclusive, collegiate ways of working
Job Offer
*A genuinely strategic Knowledge Manager role with real influence over how knowledge, AI and innovation are used in practice
*Part-time working (3 days per week) with flexibility considered, supporting long-term sustainability and work-life balance
*Close collaboration with senior lawyers, PSLs and innovation leaders, offering strong visibility and engagement across the firm
*Meaningful exposure to AI and legal tech initiatives, including pilots, tooling and product-led KM solutions
*Scope to shape and build knowledge products rather than simply maintain existing materials
*Supportive, collegiate culture that values collaboration, curiosity and practical innovation
*Opportunity to develop a niche KM/innovation profile within a high quality regulatory practice
*Competitive remuneration and benefits aligned to experience
