Claims Handler / Claims Assessor – Insurance
Central Bristol | Hybrid (3 office / 2 home)
£25,000 + up to 20% bonus + benefits
Full-time | Mon–Fri (35 hours, flexibility between 8am–6pm)
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Claims Handler / Claims Assessor to join a well-established insurance team in Bristol.
You’ll manage insurance claims end-to-end, ensuring fair, accurate and compliant outcomes in line with FCA regulations and internal policies. This is a hands-on role requiring strong claims experience and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities*Manage insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement
*Assess claims and make decisions in line with policy terms and FCA guidelines
*Communicate with customers throughout the claims process, providing clear updates
*Liaise with third parties including medical professionals where required
*Handle queries and complaints through to resolution
*Maintain accurate and detailed case records
*Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in a claims handling or claims assessor role (essential)
*Strong understanding of insurance claims processes
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
*Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
*Strong decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach
