Job Description:
Portfolio are proud to be supporting a major retail organisation in recruiting a Payroll Specialist to join their in-house payroll team. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, takes real ownership of their work, and thrives in a collaborative environment where payroll is seen as a critical business function.

What you’ll be responsible for
*End-to-end payroll processing for a large, diverse workforce
*Managing statutory requirements
*Handling complex payroll queries
*Supporting payroll reconciliations
*Maintaining and updating payroll systems
*Working closely with HR, Finance, and operational teams
*Identifying opportunities to streamline processes

*Strong technical payroll knowledge - someone who understands legislation, calculations, and compliance inside out.
*A hands-on approach with confidence managing detailed, high-volume payroll activity.
