We are working in partnership with a respected organisation to recruit an experienced Interim Head of Finance for a 12-month fixed-term assignment.
This is a senior leadership role supporting the Director of Finance, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Finance function and delivery of high-quality financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the Finance team, ensuring a high-performing and supportive environment
*Deputise for the Director of Finance as required
*Oversee monthly accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
*Review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls
*Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit processes
*Maintain key financial records, including fixed assets, accruals, and journals
*Ensure statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met
*Act as lead for the finance system (Agresso), driving improvements and best practice
*Partner with budget holders across the organisation, providing financial insight and support
About You
*Fully qualified accountant with strong technical expertise
*Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
*Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and compliance
*Experience of finance systems and process improvement
*Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
