A well-established business based in Margate, with a strong reputation in its sector and a supportive, team-focused culture. The company offers a stable working environment and is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone with purchase ledger experience to join a busy finance team in a hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day processing of supplier invoices and ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function.
This is a full-time, permanent onsite position based in Margate, with study support available for those looking to progress their finance career.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching, and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
*Preparing and processing payment runs
*Handling supplier queries and building strong relationships
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
Desirable Skills & Experience
*Previous experience within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
*Confident communicator, both written and verbal
*Familiarity with accounting systems and Excel
*A proactive and positive approach
Salary & Benefits
*Salary up to £26,000
