Job Description:
My client is an innovative Multi-Academy trust based in Southeast London looking now to make the key appointment of a new Chief Financial and Operations Officer, with the skills and experience to ensure continued financial sustainability and development of the Trust.
The chosen candidate will be able to successfully lead the finance, HR, Facilities and IT teams, bringing in-depth knowledge and actively contributing to the development of efficient finance systems and process, with a robust but pragmatic internal controls. You’ll be a leading voice on a variety of initiatives and projects, ensuring pupils have the very best access to facilities, products and services, through keen management of spend and an ambitious approach to revenue generation. You will influence the Trust’s strategic decision making to ensure best value.
You must be a fully qualified accountant with strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. Proven experience in delivering a high-quality service in an Academy or MAT setting will be hugely advantageous, but applications from senior finance professionals from the charity or local authority setting are welcomed. Robust leadership traits and strong stakeholder management skills is essential.
The successful candidate will be an individual who is looking to excel in an inspiring and changing environment, with a natural interest in the education sector.
