We are currently looking for a Projects Social Value Lead, who will embed a culture of positive engagement with communities, customers and stakeholders across the Infrastructure OU, ensuring Social Value is fully integrated into project delivery and work winning.
You will be working in the Technology and Sustainability OU where we harness digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.
As the Projects Social Value Lead, you will:
*Support setting the strategic direction for social value across the OU, ensuring alignment with customer, local authority and Skanska priorities (employment & skills, nature positive, inclusion & diversity and supply chain).
*Act as a subject matter expert for Infra preconstruction ensuring social value considerations and activities are reflected through all stages of the bid process and elements of any written submission.
*Represent Skanska externally at senior forums, audits and stakeholder meetings, protecting the company’s and customer’s reputation.
*Drive delivery of community investment and inclusion initiatives that secure measurable, long term social and economic benefits for communities.
*Monitor performance across the OU, interrogate data to identify trends and lead corrective actions to meet or exceed contractual targets.
We are looking for:
*Significant experience of delivering Social Value activities on complex construction projects and/or relevant industry, including engagement with customers and experience in work winning.
*Demonstrable experience in supporting bids, with a focus on achieving high scores in the social value area.
*Extensive stakeholder expertise: deep understanding of community dynamics and the ability to adapt approaches to diverse audiences.
*Excellent communication skills: ability to craft and deliver clear, persuasive messages across multiple channels and forums.
*Commercial and contractual awareness: comfortable navigating contractual requirements and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
