We are currently looking for a Projects Social Value Lead, who will champion the culture and behaviours that build positive relationships with communities, customers and statutory stakeholders across the commercial, defence and public sectors. You will shape and lead the Social Value strategy across the Operating Unit, region or portfolio, supporting customers across the Building Operating Unit.
You will be working in the Technology & Sustainability Enabling Function where we harness digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.
As the Projects Social Value Lead, you will:
*Shape social value strategy across multiple projects and sectors, aligned with customer, local authority and Skanska priorities.
*Support work-winning through high-quality social value input to bids, tenders and mobilisation, with strategic evidence for commercial, defence and public sector projects.
*Represent Skanska at senior forums, audits and stakeholder meetings, protecting and enhancing reputation.
*Build a culture of accountability, empathy and professional development within the social value team.
*Lead community investment and inclusion initiatives that deliver measurable long-term social and economic impact.
We are looking for:
*Proven experience delivering Social Value on complex construction projects across commercial, defence, NHS and public sector settings.
*Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to engage and adapt to diverse communities, customers and audiences.
*Leadership experience, with the ability to manage, mentor and develop teams.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey clear, persuasive messages across multiple channels.
*Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience with Section 106 and other planning requirements.
*Data-driven approach, with the ability to analyse metrics, improve activity and report insights to senior leaders.
