We are currently looking for a Senior Environmental Manager, who will help deliver our Environmental Sustainability Strategy and support clients in achieving their sustainability goals across a portfolio of projects. You’ll take operational responsibility for key sustainability elements, while also providing expert input during early client engagement and bid stages to support strong, competitive submissions.
You will be working in the Technology & Sustainability Enabling Function where we harness digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.
As the Senior Environmental Manager, you will:
*Provide leadership and support to the Environment team across your portfolio, with wider project support as needed.
*Support work-winning through high-quality environmental input to bids, tenders and mobilisations, plus strategic evidence to support commercial teams and manage risk.
*Shape environmental sustainability strategy across multiple projects, aligned with customer, regulator and Skanska priorities.
*Lead environmental sustainability budget planning, resourcing and forecasting at project level.
*Lead, develop and support Environmental Sustainability Managers, Assistant Managers and Advisors, promoting capability, consistency and continuous improvement.
We are looking for:
*Proven commitment to sustainable building, with experience delivering environmental strategies on complex construction projects.
*Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing environmental professionals.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence teams, clients and external partners.
*Collaborative leader who drives environmental responsibility, ownership and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
*Strong commercial and contractual awareness, with the ability to navigate requirements and coordinate effectively with key stakeholders.
