Job Description:
PCB Layout Engineer
Based in Bolton with hybrid working (2 days a week on-site) - regular travel will be required to Stevenage
Salary up to £55,000 + bonus + pension + overtime
If you enjoy solving complex layout challenges, not just pushing tracks around, this is worth a look.
You’ll be working on high-reliability electronics across a mix of technologies, from multilayer and rigid-flex through to RF and high-speed designs. The kind of work where layout decisions actually matter.
You’ll sit close to design, working with engineers and suppliers to turn requirements into buildable, production-ready boards. Not just "can it be done", but "will it work, at scale, reliably".
There’s variety too. Different products, different challenges, and exposure to emerging technologies rather than repeating the same designs.
What you’ll bring:
*Strong PCB layout experience, ideally in RF, high-speed, analogue, power, SI or EMC
*A good understanding of fabrication, stack-ups, and design for manufacture
*Confidence contributing to design reviews and influencing outcomes
*The ability to work with engineers, not just take instructions
What you’ll get:
*Up to £55,000 salary, plus bonus
*14% pension, flexi leave, paid overtime
*Hybrid working, typically 2 days on site
*A genuinely supportive engineering environment, not just words on a page
You’ll also have the chance to mentor others and keep developing your own technical depth.
Security clearance will be required, so you will need to hold British citizenship or be a dual citizen with British citizenship.
If you’re a PCB Layout Engineer who wants more interesting problems, better engineering conversations, and real impact on the end product, let’s talk.
