Reed Education is currently recruiting School Caretakers to support a range of schools across Doncaster. We have a variety of long-term and short-term opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your availability, including split shifts and full-day roles.
Pay*From £14.50 per hour, depending on experience and role requirements
The RoleAs a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained. Responsibilities may include:
*Opening and closing school buildings
*Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
*Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
*Supporting health and safety compliance on site
*Liaising with school staff, contractors, and visitors
Essential Requirements*Proven experience in facilities management or caretaking
*Strong DIY and maintenance skills
*A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative
*Willingness and ability to obtain a full Enhanced DBS check
Desirable Experience*Knowledge and understanding of:
*COSHH
*Asbestos awareness
*Fire safety and compliance
