Behaviour Support Mentor
Location: Reading
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Scale: £90.00 - £105.00 per day
Are you a patient and resilient Behaviour Support Mentor looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting?
Do you have experience supporting children with behavioural challenges or SEMH needs as a Behaviour Support Mentor?
A supportive and forward-thinking Specialist School in Reading is seeking a Behaviour Support Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This Behaviour Support Mentor role is ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop positive behaviours.
Key responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Mentor:
* Providing 1:1 support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
* Implementing behaviour management strategies and intervention plans
* Supporting students both in and outside the classroom
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
* Creating a structured and positive learning environment
This Behaviour Support Mentor position would suit individuals with experience in education, youth work, or care settings, particularly those familiar with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
The school offers excellent training opportunities and ongoing support from a dedicated leadership team.
