Job Description:
Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Leeds)
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leeds to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
The school has been recognised by Ofsted for its positive learning environment, strong pastoral care and commitment to pupil wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively to ensure all children feel safe, valued and supported to achieve their potential.
The school has a well-established SEN provision, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH. Teaching Assistants play a key role in providing targeted support, both within the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.
The role:
*Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
*Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO
*Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN (experience beneficial but not essential)
*Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The ideal candidate:
*Has a good level of experience working in primary schools
*Is confident supporting pupils of varying abilities
*Has experience with SEN or a strong interest in this area
*Is reliable, proactive and passionate about supporting children
