A rare opportunity to join a well-established, growing independent financial planning firm in London - and inherit a ready-made client bank from day one.
We are working with a highly regarded London-based IFA that has expanded significantly through acquisition and is now looking to appoint an experienced Financial Planner to take on a transitioning book of clients. This is a business that operates with full independence across products and providers - no restricted advice, no tied models.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine hunter/farmer role with real substance behind it. You’ll be handed a warm, transitioning client bank inherited from exiting principals, giving you an immediate base of relationships to develop and service. At the same time, the firm actively encourages and rewards new business generation - so if you have the ambition to grow beyond an inherited book, the infrastructure and support are there to help you do it.
The firm has a strong compliance culture, experienced paraplanning support, and a collaborative team environment that allows advisers to focus on what they do best - delivering excellent financial planning to clients.
What You’ll Need
*Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum
*Chartered status preferred (or actively working towards it)
*Proven experience as a Financial Planner or Financial Adviser in an IFA or whole-of-market environment
*Strong client relationship skills and a genuine, advice-led approach
*Comfortable managing a high-quality, established client bank while developing new opportunities
What’s on Offer
*£80,000–£85,000 basic salary (c.£75,000 for strong candidates not yet Chartered)
*Discretionary bonus scheme
*Hybrid working (typically 3 days in the office)
*Full whole-of-market independence
*Warm transitioning client bank from day one
*Experienced paraplanning and admin support
