SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Academics are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a setting that prioritises support, structure, and positive outcomes for its students.
The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour and require additional emotional and behavioural support. Your role will include:
*Providing 1:1 and small group support
*Building strong, trusting relationships with students
*Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
*Assisting in the delivery of engaging, tailored lessons
*Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
The Students:You will be working with children and young people with SEMH needs. Many students may have experienced barriers to education and benefit from consistent, patient, and understanding support.
