Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join a leading Housing Association . The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge and experience in gas installations, repairs, and services. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising various tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient gas systems. The Gas Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality service while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
*You’ll be based in Salisbury and surrounding areas (Andover & Amesbury)
*With your expertise, you’ll carry out various works including gas servicing, repairs and installation for our customers in a timely manner whilst maintaining the quality of the work to the highest of standards.
*Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s very important your customer service skills are top notch - we want to always go above and beyond and make sure that our customers’ safety comes first - it is very important that you are working safely according to Gas Safety legislation and Health & Safety policies.
*You’ll primarily carry out boiler repairs and servicing alongside installation work when required at times. You’ll work closely with your team by providing them with support as and when required.
*In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the organisation by using your ’can do’ attitude to provide a high-quality, ’right first time’ service to our customers
*Provide you with your uniform, a van fitted with a van vault, racking and inverter, a fuel card, company tablet & mobile as well as the PPE you need to let you crack on with what you do best.
*You’ll be expected to supply your own hand tools and power tools.
*You’ll require to cover Out of Hours Callouts on a rota basis so a clean driving license is a must!

Requirements
*Proven experience as a Gas Engineer in social housing.
*at least 5/6 years qualified
*Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various gas systems effectively.
*Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to the trade.
*Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
*Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during work tasks.
*A valid driving licence
*Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
*Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
