This role would particularly suit an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for excellent mentoring, strong departmental support, and a school that is genuinely invested in professional development. Applications from experienced teachers are also welcome.
The Role
You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities at KS5 depending on experience and specialism. You’ll join a collaborative department with a shared commitment to high standards, creativity, and pupil engagement.
Responsibilities include:
*Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
*Teaching Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics depending on specialism
*Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
*Adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
*Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
*Contributing to departmental development and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a reflective and motivated practitioner who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Has a degree in a Science subject or closely related field
*Is an ECT or experienced teacher with strong subject knowledge
*Demonstrates effective behaviour management and communication skills
*Has a genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people
