Our client is a busy freight forwarding company based in Manchester, and they are looking for an experienced Ocean Import Clerk to join their team. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a similar role.
Duties will include:
*Day to day ocean import operational duties.
*Arrange import deliveries
*Coordinate with hauliers and 3rd party suppliers
*Ensure timely cargo release and final delivery.
*Manage customs-related processes
*Action Customer Enquiries.
*Liaise with overseas agents and customers
*Provide shipment updates
*Ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
*Collect outstanding shipment monies prior to enabling releases/deliveries
*Ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
*Check purchase invoices
*Provide support with the customers/agents
*Maintaining strong communication
