The school is seeking a proactive, organised and commercially-minded professional to lead its finance and administration function. Reporting to the Headteacher and working closely with federation colleagues, you will be at the heart of the school’s operations — ensuring strong financial control, effective systems and well-managed support services.
This role combines hands-on operational management with strategic oversight, enabling teaching staff to focus on delivering high-quality education while you ensure the school runs efficiently, compliantly and smoothly day to day.
In this role, you will:
*Lead financial management, budgeting, monitoring and reporting
*Oversee premises, compliance, health & safety and operational services
*Manage HR administration and act as liaison with payroll
*Oversee catering services and school lettings
*Line manage diverse teams, driving high standards and continuous improvement
*Work in close partnership with senior leaders, governors and external stakeholders
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong school-based or education-sector experience who enjoys responsibility, leadership and variety — with the longer-term security of a potential permanent role.
About You
You will bring:
*Significant experience in a finance, administration or school business management role
*Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting
*Experience line managing staff and leading operational teams
*Good working knowledge of HR administration, safeguarding and payroll processes
*A strong understanding of compliance, health & safety and data protection
*Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills
