We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join the team on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The successful candidate will effectively carry out all duties associated with the efficient operation of the weighbridge.
Key Responsibilities
*Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitors
*Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicing
*Directing goods inwards to correct stockpile/location
*Record time of dispatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site
*Ensure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations.
*Following training, undertaking a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be liaising with a range of contacts and customers on the telephone and in person.
*Confidence to control the entry to site of customers, lorries and visitors
*Organised and analytical in order to successfully operate the weighbridge computer package
*Good numeracy skills are required for quick and accurate data processing.
*Previous experience in this type of role would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate
*Working with all members of the team to continually raise the Health, Safety and Environmental standards of the Company.
