Job Description:
Behaviour Mentor roles in Croydon are in high demand, and for good reason. Schools across the city are looking for confident, compassionate mentors who can support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them re-engage with learning and thrive in the classroom.
Through Protocol Education, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a range of supportive school settings where your ability to build trust, provide stability, and create a positive environment will make a genuine, lasting impact.
Your role as a Behaviour Mentor will involve:
*Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis who may display Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH)
*De-escalating challenging situations in a calm and confident manner while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment
*Building strong, trusting relationships with children, becoming a positive and reliable presence in their school life
*Working closely with the class teacher and staff to implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans
*Contributing to a whole-school approach to positive behaviour management
*Using restorative approaches to help students understand and reflect on their actions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
